Institutional membership of HELLIN shall be open to Higher Education Institutions on the island of Ireland.
Individual Membership shall be open to any member of staff who is employed in an institution in full membership of HELLIN. Membership will entitle the individual to Conference registration fee at the early bird rate.
Each Institutional Member may appoint up to two representatives to the General Assembly, one of whom will normally be responsible for its Adult Continuing Education / Lifelong Learning programmes.
International Membership shall be open to Universities outside the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and to members of the academic or academic-related staff thereof, subject to approval of the General Assembly. Each International Institutional Member may appoint to membership of the (Body) one representative.
Associate Membership shall be open to Professional and Statutory Bodies and Associations with a publicly accountable role in adult continuing education and training, subject to approval of the General Assembly. Each Associate Member may appoint to membership of the (Body) one representative.
All applications for Institutional, Individual, Associate, and International Membership shall be considered and ratified by the General Assembly and shall be subject to the Constitution and Bye-Laws of HELLIN.
Associate and International Membership shall neither confer voting rights nor attract formal representation.
